Join The BLACKHAWK TeamENTERPRISE SERVICES VOIP ENGINEER (SENIOR) BLACKHAWK Management Corporation is seeking a Senior VOIP Engineer who will serve as Theater Subject Matter Expert and maintenance support engineer for all Voice Over IP Telecommunications requirements in the CJOA, to include NIPR and SIPR. The Theater SME shall manage, monitor and maintain situational awareness of all Voice Over systems and projects under the responsibility of the USFOR-A CJOA. The VoIP Engineer primary focus will be implementing growth of new and existing systems. Responsible for providing expert technical assistance for VoIP growth of networks, System upgrades, and new equipment purchases. VOIP Engineer duties include: Manage and maintain the Tier 1 Cisco Call Managers, Gatekeepers and Gateway equipment, if applicable, on SIPR and NIPR networks. Monitor and identify capacity, quality and performance issues for VoIP traffic to ensure continued, uninterrupted operation of telephony systems. Collaborate with network engineers or administrators to ensure that VoIP traffic does not interfere with or hinder network data traffic. Maintain and consolidate circuit level voice IP drawings according to CENTCOM Standards. Responsible for policies and procedures creations and distribution in reference to all VoIP equipotent. Performs analysis of maintenance failures, research trends and causes of failures, and recommend solutions to avert future failures. Provide assistance on new equipment purchases to replace existing equipment and/or for new connectivity projects. Equipment for purchase should comply with TNOSC approved network designs. Provide IA section with completed and accurate VoIP CAP Diagrams for assigned region. Education: Advanced-level degree preferred in knowledge management, instructional technology, CS, IT, MIS, OD, instructional system design or equivalent. Specialized Certification and Experience: A Cisco Professional Level certification required, Cisco Certified Voice Professional (CCVP) is preferred. Cisco Call Manager expertise. Experience with Cisco VoIP Systems Call Manager 6.0. DSN (Defense Switched Networks) experience. Knowledge of End Office/PBX configurations. Expertise in the implementation of secure/non-secure phone service. Expertise in WAN network facilities and protocol. Expertise in voice signaling Protocol SIP, H.323, MGCP, and SS7.
