Join The BLACKHAWK TeamENTERPRISE SERVICES VIRTUALIZATION ENGINEER BLACKHAWK Management Corporation is seeking a Virtualization Engineer who will serve as Theater Subject Matter Expert and maintenance support engineer for all Virtualization requirements in the CJOA. The Theater SME shall manage, monitor and maintain situational awareness of all Virtualization systems and projects under the responsibility of the USFOR-A CJOA. Establish and support the Visual Information Services (VIS) which includes Video Teleconferencing (VTC) and Audio/Visual (AV) systems. Virtualization Engineer duties include: Engineer, operate and maintain suites of VTC and AV hardware and software. This shall include the performance of routine preventative maintenance support on all AV and VTC assets as specified by the manufacturer or local operating instructions. Schedule, coordinate, and administer VTC and AV sessions. Recommend upgrades to the VTC and AV systems at least annually and incorporate approved upgrades. Engineer connectivity to other locations and equipment, including USFOR-A, RC-E, RC-S, and other locations as directed for audio/visual systems. Train personnel on AV and VTC equipment. Maintain a COMSEC account for keymat necessary to run secure VTCs. Provide customer support with cable and satellite television service requests. Validate cable and satellite billing. Cover AV/VTC events outside normal operational hours. Validate cable and satellite billing. Education: Bachelor of Science/Arts Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or Science or Business Administration or Mathematics. Specialized Certification: Industry Certifications required - VMWare Certified Professional (VCP). [Microsoft Certified Professional in one or more areas of specialization - preferably in Windows Server platform or related Internet technologies; MCSE is preferred]. Specialized Experience: Two (2) years of experience with VMWare ESX or GSX virtualization operating system. Five (5) years experience with Windows Server 2000, 2003 (all versions) and Windows Server applications. Desired: two (2) years experience with Sun Solaris, Red Hat Linux and other Linux derivatives. Five (5) years experience working with enterprise hardware server platforms. Three (3) years experience with enterprise storage solutions; HP EVA, HP mid-range & workgroup storage, and EMC are highly recommended. Desired: two (2) years experience with enterprise-class backup solutions. Strong working knowledge of Internet networking technologies and principals including TCP/IP and DNS. Desired: strong working knowledge of Microsoft platforms and technologies including: IIS and SQL Server. Practical or educational background in development principles.
