COMPUTER BASED TRAINER (CBT) - INSTRUCTOR II
Job Description:
Plans, develops, coordinates and executes instruction
utilizing game-based simulations. Develops a program of instruction that
includes scenario-based lesson plans derived from a detailed front-end
analysis of training needs.
Performs scenario development using tools integrated with simulation
software to effectively support training objectives by providing an
environment where individuals and units can perform doctrinal tasks and
develop or practice tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs). Establishes
the physical training environment, including setting up computer systems,
peripherals and the network, as well as buidling and troubleshooting custom
training scenairos. Will utilize DARWARS Ambush, Virtual Battle Simulation
II (VBS II), and other emerging gaming technologies to conduct training in a
virtual environment. Integrates game-based desktop simulations with other
simulations and Army Battle Command Systems, such as Force XXI Battle
Command Brigade and Below (FBCB2)/Blue Force Tracker (BFT) and Joint
Conflict and Tactical Simulation (JCATS), to enhance training. Provides
instruction for individual training and supports the execution of collective
training in accordance with (IAW) the unit leaders' intent. Evaluates
training materials and instructional procedures and makes or recommends
revisions to keep training current, relevant and effective. Conducts
research on emerging training technologies and makes recommendations
regarding suitability for use within the organization. Requisition
contingent upon receipt of funding from Government. Number of positions and
final grade TBD.
Qualifications for this specific job:

10 years experience in Army doctrine and maneuver tactics, techniques, and procedures.

Knowledge of Army command and control systems at the tactical level.

Instructor experience. (Army instructor certification a plus.)

The ability to conceive, plan and execute training concepts and conduct training courses IAW DOD regulations, standards, and
procedures.

The ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Assets:
-
Experience in the application of military simulations and virtual training (gaming) hardware and software.

Specific knowledge of Ambush! and/or Virtual Battlespace II.

Experience performing formal Army training development.
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
-
Experience in software scripting, editing, programming.
-
3D simulations modeling and terrain mapping a plus.

Experience with Tactical Ground Reporting (TIGR) system a plus.
